I walked down to the village about 9:30 a.m. on my first day in “Portwenn.” Filming was under way for a scene featuring Joe Absolom (Al) and Jessica Ransom (Morwenna) at the Life Boat Station. The scene took several hours, as cameras moved around inside and outside the building.
(Note: After the first reference to the actors’ real names, I’ll refer to them by their character names.)

Between takes, cast members were very obliging, smiling for photos, shaking hands, autographing pictures and postcards. Here’s Al, of the beautiful blue eyes!

Make-up finished and looking stunning, Morwenna poses for fan photos.

Scripts in hand, the actors gather with the director for instructions. I believe the blond woman is Katie Moore, who played Morwenna’s friend, Janice, in Series 6, Episode 8.

The crew moved across to the harbor in the afternoon for a scene featuring Martin Clunes.

Martin talks to Al while waiting for his scene to begin. I heard several crew members call out to Martin as “M.C.”

Ah what a place.
Great seeing your pictures and text about your experience in Port Isaac. Are you back home now? If not, how much longer will you be there? I’m anxious to see you in your walk-on(s). Thanks for remembering us, your fans as well as Doc Martin’s.
Hi Mary, I am home now. It was a memorable trip.
Did you ever get to see The One show that we submitted videos for in March?
Hi Mary, I never saw it. My friend in the UK said the show just had a lot of us waving.
Great photos! Thank you!!!
