According to the Express, Sigourney Weaver happened to appear on the “Jonathan RossDoc-Martin-341106 Show” with Martin Clunes and mentioned what a “big fan” she was of “Doc Martin.” She took the opportunity to ask Martin about a role in the new season.

    I think there will be other actors who ask for cameo roles on “our” Doc Martin show. Good for the actors, good for the show. Very promising for Season 8. (~.~)
