Mail Online published a lengthy article with Caroliine Catz, who plays Louisa in “Doc Martin.” She talks about returning to Cornwall to film the new series. The article covers a wide range of topics from “Doc Martin” to her family and her penchant for vintage clothing.
About her role in “Doc Martin”:
“. . . she describes the role as ‘the best job in the world. ‘I love being here and I love Louisa.
“There is no reason in the world not to do this job. It’s too good and too much fun not to,’ she says simply.”
About clothing:
“I’ve recently become a serious fashion collector, and I have a lovely assortment of 1930s tea dresses, but I’m constantly drawn back to the 70s.”
About her family:
“My children have grown up around Doc Martin. The set is home from home and it’s been such a privilege for them to spend so much time in this beautiful landscape. Sonny was only three when we shot the first series and he’s 14 now, about the same age as Martin’s daughter Emily. Having spent so many summers together, they’re now great friends.”

I had the pleasure of meeting Caroline in Port Isaac. She is such a sweet person that it is amazing that she could portray Louisa’s character as written in Series 6.
I enjoyed reading about Caroline I found it very informative and interesting. I have seen her in DCI Banks and she portrayed her character extremely well so different to Loiusa.
It was great to read about the other half of the dynamic duo. Thank you Karen for keeping us so informed.
Thanks Carmel, have you heard anything about when DM S7 will be airing in Australia?
Unfortunately have heard nothing but I am watching very closely
