About Karen Gilleland

Karen Gilleland is a freelance writer and editor based in Boulder, Colorado. Along with articles for national publications, she provides communications support for various corporations, including IBM and Ricoh. Karen also edits murder mysteries and nonfiction books.


She has co-authored three books: 450 Best Sales Letters for Every Selling Situation (Prentice Hall), Under the Golden Dome and The Tivoli: Bavaria in the Rockies.

Under the Golden Dome, an historical booklet on the Colorado State Capitol, co-authored with Margaret Coel and the late Gladys Doty, received a “Tribute” from the Colorado State Senate.

Karen has a B.A. Degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a member of the Colorado Authors League and the Denver Woman’s Press Club.

  2. Thank you for the story about the tea lady and Martin as the “man of Science”. I hope Martin and Louisa have 2 or 3 more children. Martin had such a terrible childhood and I think he will make a wonderful father. In my fantasy his children absolutely adore him and are very affectionate with him and he softens so much. Well, that’s my fantasy.
